ShipBob will not fulfill orders in On-Hold Status.

Move Orders to On Hold

From the ShipBob dashboard, click on Orders.

Select the order(s) you'd like to move to On Hold status. Note: You can only move orders to on-hold if they are not yet Picked.

Click on the Actions button at the top-right side of the screen, then select Move Order To On-Hold from the drop-down list.

In the following screen, please confirm whether you want to reserve inventory for the order on not.

You will receive a summary email when the action is completed.

Release Orders from On Hold

From the ShipBob dashboard, click on Orders.

Select the order you'd like to release from On Hold status.

Click on the Actions button at the top-right side of the screen, then select Release Order Hold from the drop-down list.

In the following screen, Click Release order hold to approve the release action. Note: This will immediately release any manual holds on the orders and start the fulfillment process if no other holds exist.

You will receive a summary email when the action is completed.

Bulk Move or Release Orders from On-Hold

You can choose to move or release as many orders as you want by simply checking the relevant orders or mark the top box to select all orders on the page.

If you wish to select ALL orders, click on Select all link on the top.

Important Notes:

  • You can't move orders that are already picked to on-hold.
  • You can't move orders that are currently on-hold for other reasons to manual on-hold.
  • When trying to release orders from manual on-hold, they will move to processing immediately UNLESS other hold reasons apply.
  • In case the requested action/parts of it had failed you will receive an email describing the failure reason for each order.
