Due to global fuel shortages and rising inflation, our carrier partners have implemented additional fuel surcharges in recent months.
To support our merchants through some of the headwinds in 2022, ShipBob has fully absorbed these incremental fuel surcharge costs since January. As of Monday, August 15, 2022, ShipBob will pass on a portion of these carrier fuel surcharges given the increasing costs and extended duration.
Fuel surcharges will be billed as flat fees based on shipment weight capacity and country of origin. They will be shown on the pricing breakdown page linked from each order invoice (listed as “Fuel Surcharge”). ShipBob will monitor fuel surcharges monthly across our carrier network.
Fuel surcharges by country of origin and weight:
We are not passing on any fuel surcharges for shipments that are shipped via a USPS ship option.
We are not passing on any fuel surcharges for shipments that are fulfilled out of our Europe-based fulfillment centers at this time.
