How to Integrate Zapier and ShipBob
Zapier is a great tool to automate a lot of the daily tasks. Using their easy and intuitive user interface, you can easily integrate a lot of different applications together (without being a computer programmer!). Starting today, ShipBob integrates with Zapier to help you automate a lot of the daily monitoring tasks to help you save time and money!
For example: Consider a use case where you want to get notified when a package delivery fails. Using the ShipBob and Zapier integration, you can now do this !. Instead of logging in-to ShipBob and checking the tracking update everyday, you can trigger Zapier to send you an email when the package delivery results in an exception.
Consider another use case: Getting a slack notification when inventory count goes below the reorder point. This is now possible using the ShipBob Zapier integration!
The following steps briefly describe how to set up your first Zap!.
Step 1: To get started, head over to the API tab located under the User Setting and click on the ‘click here ’ under Zapier to get started.
If you don’t have an account as yet, sign up otherwise login using your existing account.
Step 2: After signing in, click on the “Accept Invite and Build Zap” to get started!
Step 3: Choose a trigger. This is where we start building our first Zap
Step 4 : Connect to Shipbob using your email and the API token located under the User Settings page in the Shipbob dashboard.
Step 5 : After successfully connecting to the Shipbob account, create an action step : For example : Gmail
Step 6 : After connecting to your email account, you can customize the body of the email to contain the information about the order!
Step 6: Test and Done! Got this email ! All set.
