If your order will require multiple large boxes, it may be more cost effective to ship freight (instead of generating individual labels, the boxes will be wrapped together on a pallet).
To get started you can simply create a new pre-paid/B2B order in the dashboard (even if the order is not prepaid, this will prevent it from shipping in individual boxes as usual). Instructions on how to create pre-paid/B2B orders can be found here.
You will then need to reach out to our freight specialist directly using this link: https://support.shipbob.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000015547
Send over the order ID and recipient address. Once we have the weight and dimensions of the pallet, you will receive a quote to confirm and we can book the pickup.
How is freight charged?
Freight costs are subject to market fluctuation and quotes obtained from our freight partners depending on the weight/dimensions of the shipment, number of pallets, and the destination the pallets are shipping to.
The cost is applied to the order and payment is through your billing page as usual.
Can I schedule my own freight pickup?
Yes! If you would like to schedule the freight on your own, you can create a prepaid order which has a freight option you can select when you create the order in the dashboard. Instructions for creating prepaid orders are located here.
What’s the turnaround for freight orders?
Both Shipbob scheduled freight, as well as prepaid freight orders (client scheduled) have a 3-5 day turnaround from prep to pickup.
The freight companies try to pool inventory from various pickup locations for LTL and PTL, which can cause a delay in pickup/delivery time.
Note: There is no compensation or refund for delay in pickup/drop off on inventory.
Where can freight be delivered?
Please ensure the delivery address where the freight will be offloaded is cleared for large trucks and that a loading dock or lift gate is available at the location. Surcharges may be applied if the truck cannot get clearance or if a dock/lift gate is unavailable.
14) What happens if the freight is not picked up or delivered on time?
Unfortunately, there can be a day variability sometimes when inventory is picked up or delivered.
