Behind the Scenes: Receiving
When you send inventory to ship, it is received at one of our docking stations. A bad WRO can result in longer receiving times and possibly more fees. Here are a few tips to follow:
Place the WRO on a flat side of the box with the barcode clearly visible. Do not place a WRO on the side as it may be destroyed in transit.
Please make sure to securely fit it to your shipment. You can find the complete guide on your ShipBob dashboard.
After it is unloaded, the quantity and quality of the products are verified to determine any damage in transit or missed shipments by you or your supplier.
Depending on the size and quantity of your products, they will be stored on a pallet, shelf or bin. Our warehouse staff will find the most cost-efficient spot for your products to help save you money.
A pallet is a 48 x 40 x 54 space
A shelf is a 42 x 12 x 23 inch space
A bin is a 21 x 7 x 11 inch space.
