Behind the Scenes: Receiving

When you send inventory to ship, it is received at one of our docking stations. A bad WRO can result in longer receiving times and possibly more fees. Here are a few tips to follow:

  • Place the WRO on a flat side of the box with the barcode clearly visible. Do not place a WRO on the side as it may be destroyed in transit.

  • Please make sure to securely fit it to your shipment. You can find the complete guide on your ShipBob dashboard.

  • After it is unloaded, the quantity and quality of the products are verified to determine any damage in transit or missed shipments by you or your supplier.

  • Depending on the size and quantity of your products, they will be stored on a pallet, shelf or bin. Our warehouse staff will find the most cost-efficient spot for your products to help save you money.

    • A pallet is a 48 x 48 x 40 space

    • A shelf is a 30 x 22 x 19 inch space

    • A bin is a 16 x 15 x 12 inch space.
