ShipBob will not fulfill orders in On-Hold status. Orders will be automatically assigned with On-Hold status for any of the following reasons: 

  • Invalid Address
  • Credit Card Declined 
  • Customs Information Missing
  • Dangerous Goods: International shipments
  • Packaging Preference not set
  • Reserve Date Not Met (only relevant for B2B/External Transfer Orders)
  • Required Label Not Uploaded (only relevant for B2B/External Transfer Orders)

Move Orders to Processing Status: 

Invalid Address:
From the ShipBob dashboard, go in the shipment details page and click Edit on the Customer Information panel and edit the address.

Credit Card Declined:
From the ShipBob dashboard, click on Billing and update the payment method.  

Customs Information Missing:
For all international shipping, each item need to have customs information that include: Tariff code, value, description and item weight. From the ShipBob dashboard, click on Inventory and then click Products. Click on the Inventory ID and update the customs information. Read more here.

Dangerous Goods: International
We currently do not support international shipping of dangerous goods. To move your order to processing please remove any items marked as 'dangerous goods' from your order.

Packaging Preference not set
Orders containing items with no packaging preference selected for a SKU will go to on-hold status. Here’s how to update your packaging preferences:

Reserve Date Not Met:

Reserve date is a future date in which ShipBob will pick your B2B order. This is a date set by you when creating the order. Please note that orders will be shipped as soon as all requirements are met with an SLA of up to 4 business days, depending on the size of the shipments.

Required Label Not Uploaded:

B2B Orders

From the ShipBob dashboard, go in the shipments details page and click on Upload Attachment to attach the label.  

External Transfer Orders

  • Prepaid: From the ShipBob dashboard, go in the shipments details page and click on Upload Attachment to attach the prepaid label and Amazon Box Label (You must upload 2 attachments and choose the correct attachment type from the drop-down list). 
  • ShipBob Freight: From the ShipBob dashboard, go in the shipments details page and click on Upload Attachment to attach the ShipBob Freight Label and Amazon Box Label. (You must upload 2 attachments and choose the correct attachment type from the drop-down list).
  • ShipBob Parcel: From the ShipBob dashboard, go in the shipments details page and click on Upload Attachment to attach Amazon Box Label.
